Ballast Work @ Wintrop Street

This track was re-filled with new ballast just a few days ago. If you followed this track you could see where the track doubled all the way to Augusta. To the left you can see where the old siding was that went to an old Porpane exchange plant. I was surprized to see how fast this job was done. All they need next is a Tamper and mabye get the City of Augusta to uncover the tracks that are buried in gravel for parking spaces. Shot taken facing Winthrop St. Hallowell, Maine
