ex-Devco GP38-2 2317 leads the test train west, after just passing the mile 25 hot box detector at Eaton. The other two locomotives are actually rebuilt GP35s of Southern Pacific ancestry, but they are functionally GP38-3s now.

Track speed is quite high here, about 40 mph, and since the roads don't follow the track very closely, it was a challenge to chase the train.
