The weekend of Sept. 19 and 20, 2009 was a great time to be in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. After enjoying Railfans' Weekend on the Conway Scenic Railroad on Saturday, I heard that a caboose train would operate on the Hobo/Winnipesaukee Scenic the next morning. So after a nice drive on the Kancamagus Highway, I arrived in Lincoln just as the train was getting ready to depart. Here, Winn. Scenic RR S1#1008 (ex B&M) handles the train near N.
