Mass Bay Railroad Enthusiasts sponsored a fan trip on Oct. 3, 1981 from Boston to Mechanicville and return. The train also made a stop at North Adams on the westward leg to make a couple of short jaunts through Hoosac tunnel for those who didn't want to ride the entire trip. The train shown here is westbound near Tower Rd. in Charlemont. You couldn't have found a more dark and dreary day if you tried!!!
