Before and...what might have been

Amtrak Rohr turbo trains rest in silence at Scotia, New York. The train in the foreground is the original trainset as operated by Amtrak. The power car in the background is partially refurbished, riding on shop trucks. Three of seven trainsets were refurbished before Amtrak and New York pulled the plug on the project. The three refurbished trainsets sit in Bear, Deleware, while the remaining four rest in various states of repair at this location near Albany.
