Great weather until later thunderstorms took charge. Alco S1 958, RDC 6148, 9148, and three Erie Lackawanna coaches stretch out on the north boardwalk

6148 was the prototype for the 80's Morrison Knudsen MBTA RDC rebuild program. It was drafted from a damaged 6148 and an end from New Haven's 35. It as the last car to depart yard 14 intact when J F White got the contract to build the Boston Engine Terminal. Part of their contract was to rid the yard of all former RDC's either whole or in pieces.
