Smokin'605 doin' what 244 powered Alcos do best. The Boston & Maine RS-3's 1505 thru 1519 were always my absolute favorites, but, the L&HR RS-3's ranked 2nd. This unit, at that time, also sported a nice sounding set of Nathan M-3's.
Unfortunately, this is the last vintage picture that I will be posting. I sure wish I had taken more back in the day. I feel privileged to have documented this part of New England Railroad history and hope everyone has enjoyed my pics. Special thanks to my younger sister, Jennifer Wilder, for spending many hours scanning my slides and cleaning them up in photoshop.
I will be venturing up to the Scranton PA area to catch the D-L alcos in action. When I do, I will post the pics!
