North Stratford Box Car being restored

Last known North Stratford RR boxcar 491 sits in the yard in Lincoln of the Hobo Railroad. Presently being restored by a private owner, it had been stored in the "Mill Yard" across the street since the demise of the North Stratford which was owned by the late Edward Clark one of the two founding sons of Clark's Trading Post and also grandfather to Benjamin Clark owner of the Hobo RR. It had been protecting in storage an Alco prime mover which has since been transplanted into Hobo RR 1186, Interior is done and outside work has begun to bring this icon back to life. On the left is former Maine Central S1 959, a former North Stratford locomotive as well as fully functional former NH RDC #41 in for service from Danbury Museum.
