This is a photo of the bridge abutments on the Merrimac River south of Franklin NH, just off US RT-3 at A station site called Franklin Falls Jct. on the Northern RR/B&M. The line across the river was the Tilton & Franklin RR/B&M. There was a switchback on the other side to service mills and a freight house.
