Batten Kill RR Pinch-hitter -- Tuesday March 05, 2013

Pinch-hitting for the 4116 the Batten Kill's 605 makes an extremely rare solo appearance on the round trip from Greenwich to Eagle Bridge NY and return. Late afternoon finds the glorious colored unit heading south (in seldom seen sunshine for a change) through Cambridge NY to retrieve three grain loads for Cargill. After a quick fix -- the 4116 will return to duty later this week.

Photographed by Cully, March 5, 2013.
Added to the photo archive by John (Cully) Cullinan, March 6, 2013.
Railroad: Battenkill.
