Station Master's office, City Point, Belfast, ME

With the portion of the 33-mile, 142-year old B&ML grade from Pierce Street (at the Footbridge) in Belfast to the turn out at the City Point Central Railroad Museum (MP 2.5) now closed, soon to be railbanked, torn up, and converted to a pedestrian and bike rail trail, the Brooks Preservation Society, the B&ML's current operator, has moved its excursion trains operations from the Upper Bridge (MP 1.0) from which it ran seasonal weekend service until the Fall of 2012 here to the station and yard at the City Point Central Museum beginning in the spring of 2013. Seen here is the City Point station master's office with BML#3248, a chair car originally built for the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad in 1926 by the Pullman Co., on the track just outside the window.
