Batten Kill Rail Road -- Sunday August 25, 2013

In a very rare Sunday move, RS-3 605 heads north through Cambridge NY with four covered hoppers, one of which is a "hot car" for Cargill outside Greenwich Junction. The crew has an opportune moment to peruse the "Farmers Market" on the "green" next to the Cambridge Hotel -- there was a mad scramble to move vehicles parked illegally next to the tracks once the horn was heard blowing for the nearby Avenue A crossing.

Photographed by Cully, August 25, 2013.
Added to the photo archive by John (Cully) Cullinan, August 25, 2013.
Railroad: Battenkill.
