This vintage Alco RS3 on display in Schenectady, NY was built in 1953 by the former Alco plant in Schenectady. It was purchased by the Great Northern RR and much later ended up on the St. Johnsbury & Lamoile County RR and then the Montpelier & Barre RR. It is now on display in a little park in Schenectady, a short distance from the former Alco plant. The GN paint was restored when the engine was placed on display.

Photographed by John Bazan, December, 2012.
