Winter at Sea Shore

Eastern Mass St. Rwy P-601 Snow sweeper
Sweepers or " broom cars" were effective at throwing snow clear of tracks. This one started as sweeper P-601 on the Eastern Massachusetts Street Railway system( 1920- 1935), was sold to New York( 1935- 1947), and later to Toronto (1947- 1972). It was aquired by Sea Shore Trolley Museum in 1973, and restored to original color( pencil yellow) and number.
