The CapeFLYER Train On Monday May 26th, 2014

Photographed here is the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority's (i.e., MBTA) 1050 clearing the historic railroad station located in West Barnstable, Massachusetts on the Cape Main Line. The locomotive for today's run was an Electro - Motive Division (i.e., EMD) F40PH-2C numbered 1050, which was built sometime during 1987. This particular train began its second summer of commuter rail service just this past Friday between the Hyannis Railroad Depot in Hyannisport, Massachusetts and South Station in Boston, Massachusetts. Given last year's more than successful numbers in ridership, there is a good chance that the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (i.e., CCRTA) will ultimately decide to further extend this very service well into Columbus Day Weekend.
