The Massachusetts Coastal Railroad's Energy Train On Monday June 23rd, 2014Photographed here is the MC 2008 clearing the historic railroad station located in West Barnstable, Massachusetts on the Cape Main Line. Moreover, you might also be able to discern the MC 2010 trailing directly behind it. I am curious as to why this locomotive was on todays train as well. Perhaps the railroad has ultimately decided to end MC 2010's eight month assignment to the Energy Train, and, instead, use it for other various duties off of Cape Cod. Chances are, however, that the MC 2010 was just being used as a helper engine for the aging MC 2008's heavy haul of eleven refuse loads.
