PanAm Southern power at North Adams -- Monday August 11, 2014Occupying both through tracks, the head end engine for MOED is on the left and AD-1 is staged on the right at North Adams, Ma. The wandering CSX 3036 made it back to the office as transport for the crew after dropping the remaining engines (and train) short of West Portal -- the last car of MOED can be seen just past the CSX engine -- 3036 is tucked in on the same track behind its consist. The CSX unit will end up going out the Industrial Track (clearing the switch) allowing AD-1 to add the parked MEC 305 to the front of the 613 -- the combined units will leave together headed west for the VTR connection -- both LHF. After AD-1 leaves town the waiting MOED recrew will head to the front of the eastbound train and attempt to make Buckland.
