The Pan Am Railways office car special train is seen laying over at North Adams, Mass. on Tuesday evening, August 19, 2014. The train conveyed Gov. Deval Patrick and representatives of PAR to Greenfield, Mass. the following morning where a press conference was held announcing the Mass.DOT purchase of the Springfield-Northfield, MA corridor. That trackage is presently in the process of being upgraded for high speed passenger service.
