The MBTA 1030 waits at VALE on the new east track, still unfinished, for Haverhill bound train 211 to clear as can be seen on the left.. Notice new signals facing away from track. Shortly after this meet, two track crew workers unlocked the automatic switches and threw the levers to allow the extra stone train to depart at 4:00pm
