Boston & Maine @ Ayer, Ma.

The engine and caboose are sitting on the east leg of the wye track that connects to the old WN&P trackage that extended from Ayer to Hollis, NH. The only customer left on the line by 1981 was the paper mill in Pepperell. The roadbed today is the Ayer-Nashua Rail Trail. The line to Milford, NH branched off the Greenville Branch near the Ayer-Groton town line.
