Big Blue At North Adams, MA

Pan Am Southern train RJED is seen rumbling eastbound through North Adams, Mass. on March 30, 2016. On the point is the freshly painted engine the MEC 614. The 614 is a former SD45-2 now downrated to an SD40-2. The engine used to be painted in maroon paint. I was a bit disappointed to find the engine running long-hood-forward this day. But it was nice at the same time to get a chance to see the engine in its fresh paint.
