Snake Eyes!

Sometimes you get snake eyes when you roll the dice and travel a ways on an assumption a west end crew will show up on a outlawed freight with nice power. Such was the case when this canned PAS #287 with elephant style ACEs sat in Eagle Bridge in beautiful summer afternoon light with no relief crew in sight to take it to Mechanicville Yard. Grinch laughter in your ears and I should've known better anyways.

Visitor Comments about this Photo:

Really nice photo! Interestingly, when this power came into Willows on 28N Thurs evening or Friday earl AM, the order of these two locomotives was reversed so not only were these units wyed at Ayer but they were shuffled (somewhere) for the 287.
