Visitor Comments about this Photo:

Apparently only New Haven, B&M, and Chicago Great western had these NE-5 class cabooses built (by Pullman Standard in Worcester (formerly Osgood Bradley)) in the 1940's. I'm guessing that based on this photo taken by Ken Houghton and posted at his Houghton's Railimages web site, LV #200 started life as B&M C40: https://www.fototime.com/ftweb/bin/ft.dll/detailfs?userid={91CE877C-F16C-43EE-A91F-EDF166979869}&ndx=48&slideshow=0&AlbumId={0CF1BFD4-0E40-43DA-BFF2-372976667D5D}&GroupId={F5CF8A6E-2944-4D71-9C90-98B35AB69109}&screenheight=900

BTW, $50 will get you an HO model of LV #200 if you can wait until January 2017!

The New Haven NE-5 cabooses did not have cushion under frames where as the B&M's did. The LVRC 200 has a cushion under frame. This fact should help confirm that it is a former B&M...
