CSX Mixed Freight Passing Northbound Vermonter at Palmer, MABack in April of 2013 it was still very much possible to see multiple trains in Palmer at the same time. Here a westbound CSX mixed freight behind CSXT 903 (ES44AC-H) and CSXT 971 passes the northbound Vermonter with AMTK 21 (P42DC) as it reverses direction on the passing track and prepares to head over the had throw connection to the New England Central. Obviously the track workers who earlier forced the Lake Shore Limited to the passing track have now cleared the main.
