Amtrak @ Elisabeth, NJBuilt by GE in 1976, 956 was a E60CP, steam boiler equipped, for the older equipment. With an axle load which was more than any previous American electric passenger locomotive the E60's were a little hard on the rails and because of that by 1984 most were replaced by the AEM-7 and put in storage.
