PCCs still rule on the Mattapan Line

Although apparently MBTA is considering what the long term vehicle will be for Ashmont-Mattapan High Speed Line, these days 10 "MTA" PCCs (7 operational) are sole provider of service. MTA acquired these wartime PCCs from Pullman-Standard in 1945-46 and had them rebuilt twice. Photos here were taken at Central Ave, Capen St, and Milton.
