ex-EL SD45-2 visits Framingham!

Took this picture over 10 years ago and today, for the first time, I noticed the lead unit's huge fuel tank and realized how rare this locomotive was. It was Erie Lackawanna 3676, one of only 12 SD45-2 engines built for the EL (my hometown RR) in late 1972. Unfortunately not only do I not have a 35mm slide of EL3676 but CSX also retired this unit. Fortunately six NS SD45-2 rebuilds still exist and one, 1700, is painted in handsome EL garb: http://www.nslocos.com/nssd45.2.html
