Pan Am Southern train 287 is seen rolling westbound past a landmark ski area at Charlemont, Mass. on Friday, January 13, 2016. The train is led by the NS SD60E No. 911 locomotive, a tribute to America's emergency first responders. The mostly cloudy lighting here in the morning actually worked out nicely for a number of locations. Had the sun been shinning here, the train would have been badly backlit almost directly overhead from the rear.
