NECR 502 in Freezing Rain at Milton, VT.

Every night is an adventure! Tonight featured freezing rain which accumulates over a quarter inch on everything by train time. Yak Trac strap on boot traction devices are a must for safety here! Notice the ice spraying off the rail at the front wheel of 3809. Flash units are enclosed within zip lock freezer bags with icicles hanging from them. The pair of GP 40-2s make for quite a show pulling hard hauling interchange from VRS in Burlington when they come by at 04:56.
