Beauties and The Beasts

It's 21:30 in Milton, VT. on the NECR as the quiet in the aftermath of another winter storm is temporarily broken by a late running Amtrak Vermonter passing through town. A pair of NECR GP 38s which rescued the southbound Vermonter the day before when both P42s developed "problems" dealing with the snow, stayed with the train to and from Springfield, MASS. (just in case) and are near the end of their high speed adventure as they come racing past the camera as fast as their speed governors allow!
