How did this leaser escape PAR's clutches?

Fairly attractively painted for a leaser, SD40-2 HLCX 7860 (originally built for BN/C&S in 1978) heads up a parked EDPO at Lowell in December 2013. Casual internet searching shows the Helm unit to be well traveled having spent time on the CSX in the past year. But given PAR's habit of not repainting much of their leased fleet, this unit would have been an attractive addition to their fleet with "MEC" painted on the cab!
