On a hazy summer afternoon, a solo New Haven FL9 leads a short Boston-New York train west through the Pine Orchard section of Branford, CT. The track diverging to the left is the connection to the New Haven Trap Rock company's Branford Steam Railroad quarry line, still very much active in 2017.
