A Snowy Day In Vermont

VTR SD70M-2 engine No. 431 is seen coming down the mountainside at Gassetts, VT with train 263-X on Saturday, April 1, 2017. An overnight snowstorm dumped between 10 and 16 inches of snow over the mountain between Rutland and Bellows Falls, VT. I'm glad I went out caught this one. It is likely the last big snowfall this year. The building in the background is a former Rutland RR freight house. It is now home to a stone products company.
