Short lived crude trains

Only 4 years ago, Pan Am was caught up in the CBR craze being party to delivery of Bakken shale petroleum from BNSF to the Irving Refinery at Saint John, NB. The empties are shown at Patterson Rd, Shirley on their way home on George Washington's actual birth day in February 2013. Pan Am is taking advantage of excess westbound horsepower with the addition of five freight cars ahead of the buffer car. And not only are the CBR trains gone but so are the Patterson Rd signals and code line poles.
