PW-1 at Boston Switch

This isn't a particularly good photo since the train was badly backlit, but I figure it may be of some historical interest. Following its takeover of the New Haven, Penn Central briefly continued to run trains PW-1 and WP-2 between Providence and Worcester before ending through freight service on the line. Northbound PW-1 has just left the mainline at Boston Switch in Central Falls, RI, behind a renumbered ex-NH U25B as a Shore Line freight rolls through the background.
