PC power at Cedar Hill

Cedar Hill Yard in New Haven was still a busy place in 1969, although activity would steadily diminish under Penn Central and later Conrail. I count seven different diesel models in this shot: Alco Century 425, RS11, and RS3, GE U25B and U25C, and EMD GP9 and SW1200. All except ex-Pennsy U25C 6518 are former New Haven.

Photographed by Tom Nelligan, October, 1969.
Added to the photo archive by Tom Nelligan, April 14, 2017.
Railroad: Penn Central.
