Westbound Acela at West End of Kingston Interlocking

Acela 2038, operating as new Sunday train 2261, heads west from Kingston Interlocking on track 2. The rear of the train is still crossing over from track 1 so the speed is reasonable for photography. This view was not possible until the Track 3 project required a new signal bridge be constructed to span 3 tracks. Brush along the tracks was cleared to allow the pouring of a 25' deep concrete base for the new signal bridge, visible just behind the current track 2 home signal for the interlocking. Photo taken from Waites Corner Road, which long ago crossed the tracks just ahead of this train.
