Coal train power all serviced and ready to go south to PSNH in Bow to pick up empties and run to McVille. One road crew could do all this in under 16 hours. When hours of service changed to 12 hours, they still made it work. Each side of round trip paid 400 miles (4 days pay at straight time). Crews wanted this to work! Power was BM GP-9, PC F-7A, PC GP-35, PC U25B, PC GP-35. and caboose was ex-NYC bay window, favorite of crews.
