In the New Haven's later years, the SW1200 assigned to Derby, CT, for local switching could normally be found working in neighboring Ansonia in mid-afternoon. The Farrel Corporation foundry in the background shipped heavy machinery on flat cars, and the Ansonia plant of American Brass also provided business for the NH in those days.

Farrel could be found in the 1879 Car Builder's Dictionary as a supplier of railroad wheel and axles sets. In my day they were known for making precision coating rolls for paper converters.
