AMTK 642 Leading Train 137 Past Pond in West Kingston, RI

AMTK 642, Amtrak's "Salutes Our Veterans" ACS-64, leads train 137 west out of Kingston station and past the small pond between the tracks and Great Neck Rd, the access road to the Great Swamp management area. Track 2, the closer track to the pond, is presently out of service. This has allowed completion of the crossover between track 1 and track 2 at the new Liberty interlocking and progress in the transfer of the track 2 overhead wire to the new arches from the original poles. A bridge along track 2 in Shannock is also being replaced.
