Shore Line freight

An ex-New Haven GP9 and a repainted RS-11 lead a westbound Penn Central freight bound for Cedar Hill Yard through the woods of Pine Orchard (Branford), CT, on a summer afternoon. Needless to say, it's the Alco that's smoking it up.

Photographed by Tom Nelligan, August, 1969.
Added to the photo archive by Tom Nelligan, June 27, 2017.
Railroad: Penn Central.
