MBTA X1050 at Still River, MA

On an overcast December 2012 day, MBTA/Amtrak ran an equipment rotation train from the South Boston maintenance facilities to the North Station / Boston Engine Terminal taking the scenic route via CSX to Worcester, PAR to Lowell, and MBTA to BET, due to the Grand Junction bridge over the Charles River being temporarily closed for repairs. Here "MBTA X1050" passes through Still River (it's actually the Nashua River but one can see why the location here is called Still River) with a mish-mash of locomotives and rolling stock.

Photographed by John Barlow, December 9, 2012.
Added to the photo archive by John Barlow, July 6, 2017.
Railroad: MBTA.
