Amtrak Regional Train 165 Passing Ballast Train at Kingston

AMTK 668 (ACS-64) leads train 165 out of Kingston Interlocking on a straight move on track 2. Trains today were using track 2 only between Davisville and High Street (in North Kingstown and Westerly, RI respectively). Track 1 was out of service between Kingston and High Street for work on the new switch at the east end of Track 3. That switch is east of the facing point crossover from track 1 to track 2 in Kingston interlocking, so the stretch of track 1 between Davisville and Kingston, while in service, was pretty much useless. AMTK 539 (MP15) was tied down here on the east end of a ballast work extra on the out of service track. AMTK 522 was west of the new Liberty interlocking helping to unload a single car of ballast from the west end of the work train.
