Good thing this train was only 3 cars long to ensure all passengers could get off at the station platform! Great collection of autos in the background, including a Checker cab.

At the time there was a block operator stationed inside the station to write train orders for the deadhead runs back to Boston on the other track. The operator told me it was because the other track was not TCS signaled for eastbound traffic.
