James E. Strates: Since 1923

A pleasant surprise to interrupt my day of errands! After leaving the Buffalo Southern Railway in Western New York, the James E. Strates Circus train was forwarded to Pan Am Southern Via CSX. The train's ultimate destination is Burlington Vermont. Here an "only on pan am" lash up of a B40-8 and an SD40-2 lumber through Johnsonville, NY for Hoosick Junction where they will forward the train to Vermont Railway.
