CSRR Train 162 from the Elephant Head

After a layover at the Crawford Notch Depot, the Notch Train slowly pulls away from the depot and towards the "Gateway" at the heart of Crawford Notch. Seen here, the train is crossing the headwaters of the Saco River, 160-feet below the granite rock formation known as the "Elephant Head", with dual control stand-equipped EMD GP35 216, running long hood forward, as power.
