New England Metroliner at ProvidenceThe four-car consist of this westbound train at the old Providence station identifies it as one of the two daily "New England Metroliner" runs, a limited-stop, premium fare Boston-New York service operated by Amtrak for a few years in the early 1980s. Long distance Amcoaches with low density seating were assigned for added rider comfort.
