With MEC C40-8 barred from using the White River Jct wye due to its size, BF-1 was dispatched from Bellows Falls with MEC 503 (GP40-2LW) and MEC 351 (GP40) . Here BF-1 has coupled on to the passenger cars and the engineer has moved to the cab of MEC 351 for the trip south. It was not clear, looking at the 351, whether the Guilford lettering had merely worn off or if it had a little help from a paint brush, particularly on the big 'G'.
