old Cambridge/Porter Square

The Boston & Maine's Cambridge station beneath Mass Ave, renamed Porter Square when the Red Line arrived, was not an especially attractive place. An inbound MBTA local behind a GP7 stopped there as construction was about to begin. Notice that there were three tracks through the cut at that that time.
