Visitor Comments about this Photo:

The New Haven tower SS156 has stood at Boston Switch since 1914 but was only in use until 1935, a brief 21 years contrasted with its 100 plus years. It was built to conrol the east end of the line relocation though Pawtucket and Central Falls completed in 1916. However, after the depression hit it was closed and its duties transferred to its virtual duplicate at Woodlawn in Pawtucket which was built at the same time to control the west end of the line relocation. Thanks for the photo, Bruce.
